The first time i played this i accidently did a "Challenge mode" By getting hundreds of 1 cost rocks

Beat the game in 30ish minutes! Really good for a 2 day game!

(1 edit)

I got so much upgrade cards that I got 4 10-dirt cards, a 10-iron card,  a 7-diamond card, and lastly, a 8-dynamite cards.

I also got maximum resources on stone and iron.

a gitch happened

this game works only if you don't buy anything but upgrading cards and one-cards. If you do otherwise your deck is gonna pile up and you won't be able to clear it because dynamite is a post-iron resource.

Tried to play on mobile. Shame that it's only made for desktop web, because from the little I was able to play, it looked like a really fun game.

Such a cool little game that unexpectedly grabbed my attention until I finally reached lvl 100!

theoretically you could beat this game with no upgrades I think lmao

Yeah. If you just buy the free Old Pickaxe (1.5 card/sec) the initial deck is mined in 13.5 seconds (1.5 × 9 cards) After 22.5 min you’ll have mined 100 stairs and finished the game.

A clock would make this so much better :)

Fun little incremental card game

Hi, this does not render properly with screen readers. All I'm seeing are a bunch of numbers with the pickaxes correctly labeled, and the stairs, but nothing else has accessibility labels, and it's also showing things multiple times, such as the pickaxe names. Here is an example of how my screen is rendered in plane text, this is exactly what I am hearing line by line:

Hi I'm not the author of the game, but I have played this multiple times bc it is such a fun lil idle game... however this is also a card game, and the author has decided to make the artistic choice to make the cards look like they've been hand placed, which means that even if a card isn't on top, you can still see a bit of it, and your screen reader may be picking it up which is why it could be reading the iron pickaxe card multiple times. also, very few of the cards have labels on them, just visuals making them look like actual playing cards but instead of the playing card suits it's the resources needed to buy the cards. I don't know how easy it would be to include what the resources are without messing up the original design of the cards so screen readers can actually pick up on it, but I'm sure it's not impossible.

Your frustrations with the game are entirely because you can't see, because the game wasn't made with blind people in mind, but that doesn't mean that you shouldn't get to enjoy the game and the accessibilities shouldn't be too difficult to implement.

This was lovely! That's a great and novel concept. I would like to see it go deeper and deeper :D.

Really, it would be fun to discover new levels and try out different processes on deck creation. Though, I can see it would be a bit of work to rebalance the game for a longer experience.

In any case, thank you. I enjoyed it.

I love this! It's the perfect blend between idle and tabletop game. Great job! I'd love to play a longer version of the game, maybe with more levels or progression?

Nice!

This was fantastic! I love Ludum Dare in general but randomly found this while searching idle games. I'm actually a tabletop designer so the "idle tabletop game" really got my interest, and then the game was genuinely super fun! I ran all the way through and it felt awesome! I could see myself playing this one frequently with different setups or layouts or sets of levels etc.

can you tell me what each card upgerade to?

or is it just adding one resource?

Great idea! Deck-building board game in video-game.

(+3)

intentThis how you play right?

Is this normal?

It seems like that clicking the one rock card doesn't actually add in a rock

no you have to wait untill the deck refreshes and the pickaxe mines it you get the stone

I guess I got under 10 minutes? Maybe? Nope. ~15. I shouldn't have bought those free 1 Stones in the beginning!

Deeper and Deeper indeed! In mechanics and literal Down!

And my second attempt is ~10 minutes. Possibly 9:something. Certainly not 11.
